My Review of Episode Three:
Ok. I'd really like to know where Vivienne came from. Now, please. It didn't seem so important before, and she mentioned that her past was hazy. I kind of figured she'd had a traumatic incident and was blocking it out or she was forgetting soemthing on purpose. But NOW. Now, she seems to be forgetting something pretty important. And I can't figure out what it is. Which is driving me crazy.

I'm heading towards gushing territory with Kingston. I hate snakes, but I adore his familiar. Also he's more vulnerable in this episode. He's actually a pretty sweet dude. I'm not entirely sure why he is, or even if he really is, attracted to Vivenne at this point. I'm hoping that's something that will become clear soon.

And the plot thickens in this episode because now everyone is suspicious of Vivienne. And since she was doing some things that looked pretty shady, I'm not surprised. I would definitely be pointing my finger at her if I was in this circus. Not to mention, it seems like she has secrets so huge that she isn't even allowed to know what they are.

And thanks for the cliffhanger, Mr. Kahler. Thanks, a lot. Each week it's getting harder and harder to wait for more of the story.

Teaser:

Kingston smiles, but his voice is serious. "...if necessary, I can...download, if you will, things into your memory. Make you know how to do things you couldn't do before."
"You what?" I ask.
"It sounds bad," he says. "But I don't use it if I don't have to, and even then, I only use it if the person asks. And even then, only if Mab allows it, and writes it into the contract. But she almost never allows cutting corners."
"So you could make me think anything you wanted."
...
"Don't fool yourself, Vivienne," he whispers, almost to himself. "I might have the magic, but the others...they'll get into your head way before me."

About the Book
Publisher: 47 North
Publication Date: December 4, 2012
Format: Kindle eBook

Murdered contortionists aren't exactly what Vivienne signed up for when she ran away to join the circus. But like most things under the big top, nothing is what it seems. With a past she can't quite remember, Vivienne finds that running away forever might not be as appealing as it once sounded - especially not when she realizes the devilishly attractive ringleader Mab is the Faerie Queen of legend...and that she and the rest of the troupe are locked in an age-old rivalry between the otherworldly courts.

Aided by her friends Kingston - a feisty stage magician whose magic is quickly stealing her heart - and his smart-ass assistant Melody, Vivienne finds herself racing against the clock to discover the culprit behind a series of deaths that should be impossible. However, the answer she seeks might reveal more about her own bloody past - and future - than she bargains for.

The show's just beginning.
